Orange Campers Coffee Morning

The summer season is almost over, and we've noticed something happening every September... this is when people start getting in touch to say the same thing: they've spent the summer watching everyone else pull up in their 'vans somewhere amazing, and they've decided that next year they want to join in the fun!

If that sounds familiar, our next coffee morning is a really good place to start your Orange campervan journey.

We're opening the workshop doors on Friday 18th September, from 10am until 1pm, and this time we're doing things a little bit differently. Rather than us doing all the talking, we'd love you to come with your questions ready...

Our newest innovations will be on display

If you've been following along online over the last few months, there are two things in particular that you'll have seen a lot of, and both of them will be here on the day for you to look at properly.

Our new fixed rear bed layout will be on display, and it's been getting lovely feedback from owners who like having a permanent bed made up, plenty of storage underneath it, and the feeling of two separate living spaces within a 5.4 metre 'van.

Our new shower option will be here too. It's opened up a lot of conversations with people who want more flexibility on longer trips, and it's one of those features that makes even more sense once you've stepped inside!

The questions you've all been asking

We've hosted a fair few of these mornings now, and the same questions come up time and time again. Every one of them is far easier to answer with you stood inside a 'van than it is over email, which is really why we host events like these.

"Will I actually fit on the bed?"

It's a fair question, and it isn't one everyone's comfortable properly testing on a busy stand at a show with people waiting behind them. So, come along, take your shoes off and have a nice lie down! This could be the most useful five (plus!) minutes of your whole visit so you can really know for yourself just how comfy our beds are.

"How long will it take to build?"

This one is worth talking through with us in person, because we build to order rather than selling from stock. If you're hoping to be out and about by next spring, now is a good time to be having the conversation.

"What happens once I've driven it away?"

This is our favourite one to answer. Our promise is continuous care, long after you drive away, and that can cover everything from habitation checks to being on the end of the phone when you need us. It's the little things that matter, and we're always happy to explain how it works in practice.

"Which one is right for us, the Micro Camper or the MWB?"

There really is no better answer to this than standing in both of them yourself, so come and get in and test them out!

If this is your first 'van, our Micro Camper surprises a lot of people who may have already written off anything "too compact". It's the perfect starter 'van, and it tends to feel considerably roomier in person than it looks in photographs.

If you're upgrading and you're looking for your forever 'van, the Trouvaille Classique MWB is almost certainly the one for you. It sits in that lovely sweet spot between being a nice spacious 'van you won't feel cramped in while also being small enough to drive and park easily wherever you go.

Plenty of people arrive with one firmly in mind and leave thinking about the other, which is exactly why it's worth seeing them side by side.

Watch the workshop in action

What surprises most first-time visitors is that the workshop stays fully live while you're here!

Our team carry on with their normal working day, so you might see interiors being fitted, electrics being run, furniture going in, or the final checks being done on a 'van that's about to go home to someone. You'll usually hear it before you see it!

It's the clearest way we know of showing how innovation, design and quality really do sit behind everything we build. You can look at how a cupboard is put together, and you can ask the person who's actually building it why it's done that way.

For a lot of visitors, this is what changes how they think about the whole thing.

Meet the Orange Campers team

Richard, Sonya and Jess will all be on hand throughout the coffee morning, alongside the wider Orange Campers team working in the workshop.

This is your opportunity to talk things through properly. Whether you’re curious about layouts, build choices, everyday usability or what ownership is really like, these conversations happen without feeling rushed or pressured.

You’ll also get a sense of who we are as people, not just as a campervan company. Community is a huge part of Orange Campers, and these mornings are about creating space for those connections to begin.

And yes, Jack will almost certainly be about, keeping an eye on things!

Ask someone who's already done it

If you want an honest answer about what ownership is really like, some of the best people to ask aren't us – it's some of our happy campers!

We're expecting a few of our owners and Ambassadors to come along on the 18th, and some of them will have their own 'vans parked up outside. They're the ones who've already made the decision you're thinking about, which makes them the most useful people in the room. Ask them what they'd change if they were ordering again, or how their 'van copes with a wet weekend in October, or where on earth they put all their belongings.

We filmed one of our owners at a recent coffee morning, and he's now on his second Orange Camper:

Explore our demo ‘vans at your own pace

You’ll be able to step inside our demo ‘vans (including our fixed-rear bed MWB and High Roof with a Pop Top MWB with new shower feature), take your time looking around and imagine how they might fit into your day-to-day life.

For many people, especially those upgrading to what they hope will be their forever ‘van, having time to properly explore a layout makes all the difference. If you’re new to campervans, it’s a way to start understanding what works for you without feeling overwhelmed.

Our welcome area acts as a central hub during the morning. It’s a comfortable space to sit down, enjoy a coffee, look through interior options and photos, and continue conversations away from the workshop floor if you’d like.

A more relaxed alternative to a show

If you've come to see us at a show before, you'll know how busy they can get. Coffee mornings are deliberately the opposite.

You can arrive whenever suits you between 10am and 1pm, stay as long as you like, go back to the same 'van three times if you want to, and have full conversations without worrying about queues. There's no schedule to keep up with and no tour to follow.

Our welcome area will be open all morning too, so if you'd prefer somewhere quieter to sit with a coffee and look through the interior options, you're very welcome to do that.

Test drives by request

Test drives may be possible towards the end of the coffee morning, if requested in advance.

If this is something you’d like to do, let us know ahead of your visit, and we’ll do our best to accommodate it.

Availability will depend on the day and workshop schedule, but we’re always happy to talk it through.

More ways to come and see us

If Friday 18th September doesn't suit, there are other options. We've got our Open Day on Sunday 6th September if you'd prefer a slightly bigger event, and another coffee morning on Friday 16th October.

Each one gives you a different way to get to know us, so it's really a case of whichever feels more like your sort of thing.

Book your place

If you'd like to join us on Friday 18th September, we'd love to see you. Drop in any time between 10am and 1pm, help yourself to a brew and a pastry, and take as long as you like looking around.

You're welcome to simply turn up, but letting us know in advance means we can make sure everything is ready for you. Booking in also means you'll receive a free Orange Campers mug set to take home. So please do bring your questions, and we'll have the coffee on!
