Two Magazines, Two Verdicts: What they said about our new ‘vans

Our Fixed Rear Bed and on-board shower innovations, reviewed by Campervan magazine and What Motorhome.
We're chuffed to bits... Orange Campers has been featured in not one but two magazines' June editions – and between them, they've covered our two newest innovations: the Fixed Rear Bed and the on-board shower.
Campervan Magazine: The Fixed Rear Bed (Option 3)
First up, Campervan magazine (part of the Out & About family) gave our Trouvaille Classique MWB Layout Option 3 (otherwise known as the fixed rear bed) a full four-page review, with words by Peter Vaughan. Here's their verdict:
"Orange Campers is a family-run business where the family are keen campervanners and that shows through in its practical designs. The latest layout may be for couples only but it takes a fresh approach to the fixed bed format and creates a more spacious feel as a result."
They loved the generous kitchen, the clever storage (a drinks cabinet by the entrance, a folding worktop by the door, extra floor storage behind the cab), and picked up on something we hear a lot: "you can just tell that Richard uses his own vans." That's because he does – every design detail comes from actually living in them.
Moving the galley gave them more to talk about too: "there's a lot more floor space and a much more open feeling to the interior," they said, adding that "everything seems very well finished."
What Motorhome: The shower arrives (Option 2)
Then, tucked inside MMM's big 60th-anniversary issue, sister title What Motorhome got their hands on our Trouvaille Classique MWB Option 2 – now with an on-board shower and our High Roof with Pop Top. Their take:
"Orange Campers continues to offer more choice in its range of compact 5.4m campervans, with this latest derivative adding a shower without compromising the rest of the spacious interior. High spec and a high-quality finish continue to impress."
The shower was the real star for them: a purpose-built glass-fibre shower pod, fully sealed, with a roller screen instead of a clingy curtain. They were also taken with the kitchen, calling it "a kitchen that would shame many a larger campervan," and with the RIB seats that slide together to make a 6ft by 4ft double. High praise from a magazine celebrating 60 years of trusted advice!

We've been listening
Reviewers do a great job of pointing out the little things, and we take that on board – it really is the little things that matter to us.
Since these reviews landed, we've been busy making our compact 'vans even better:
🚿 A full walk-in shower with a walk-in loo is in development for the Fixed Rear Bed, ready by September – building on the shower option What Motorhome loved
🛏️ You can now lower the bed in the Fixed Rear Bed so there's no need for a ladder – or raise it up for even more storage underneath
Innovation, design and quality run through everything we build. We're always listening, and we're always improving.
