Why the Trouvaille Classique MWB is the perfect compact campervan...
When we launched the Trouvaille Classique MWB, we knew it filled a much-needed gap — bigger than a SWB, more compact than a motorhome, but still packed with clever features and luxurious touches. What we didn’t expect was just how quickly it would become a firm favourite with our customers!
So, if you’re wondering what makes our MWB model so special, don’t just take our word for it — here’s what real Orange Campers owners have to say...
Kev Garraway – First to take the plunge!
Kev was the first ever owner of our Classique MWB, and from the start, Kev was buzzing:
“Can’t wait to pick it up!! Super excited about picking up our new MWB Trouvaille from Orange Campers! From the first time we met Richard, Sonya and Jessica, we were immediately impressed by their friendly and honest approach with no hard sell.”
Having previously considered VW and Ford options, Kev said:
“We decided they were just too small, whereas we were immediately impressed by the space in the Orange Campers’ Trouvaille and the huge kitchen area and cooking facilities. The fact that we could stand up with the roof down also meant we did not need to get a high top.”
Kev and his partner originally hired our demo van for a long weekend before committing — a clever move!
“We hired the demo for 3 days to ensure that it was right for us and just loved the huge space and flexibility for such a small van. It felt twice the size of many larger vans we had looked at!”
“We were immediately impressed by the space in the Orange Campers’ Trouvaille and the huge kitchen area. The fact that we could stand up with the roof down also meant we didn’t need a high top.”
And after his first trip?
“Managed to squeeze a single night away in the New Forest with the new van! Hopefully the first of many. The van performed flawlessly — the only issue was that with so many cupboards we kept forgetting where we had put things!!”
Ann Parks – First to order the MWB High Roof
Ann knew what she wanted – and our new High Roof MWB ticked every box. She wasted no time getting out on the road...
“Trip to the NEC to see what else I could spend my money on. Stayed for a couple of nights at Kingsbury Water Park, then on to Southport. The van is performing perfectly.”
Judith – From SWB to MWB with a sit-down loo!
Judith made the move from our Trouvaille Classique SWB to the MWB in December 2024, mainly for easier bed manoeuvrability… and the joy of a proper sit-down loo!
“You can configure the 2 seats as 2 beds (great if I’m using the van for a break with a friend) or move together as a large double.”
She’s already taken her new MWB on countless adventures:
“So it’s been down to Kent to do some World War II aircraft flying. Then it’s been up to Bamburgh to visit some castles. Back down to Cambridge to do some more WWII airplane trips. And last weekend I was all the way down in Cornwall with it for a little music festival that my niece plays in — and I fitted in a few castles before I came all the way back home!”
When it comes to features, she loves the practical touches:
“The slim tall fridge, being positioned mid-height, is easy to get items out from. I love the larger 3 burner hob with a surround all the way around and separate larger sink & tap. And of course, the ‘built-in’ loo with its flush and removable base cassette.”
Her verdict?
“Just completed an annual trail run with mud and puddles galore. And rain rain rain. Wonderful to have Leo the van as a pre and post-race base. Warm and cosy with a coffee pre-race. Loads of warm dry space to change post-race.”

Lea – Artist adventures from day one
Artist Lea took her MWB out on the road straight away and made the most of it:
“First day trip in our wonderful new van and mission accomplished! Stu had an 8-mile walk in the drizzle and I had a splendid couple of hours painting and drinking tea.”

Peter Horrocks – Orange Camper considering upgrading from Actif to MWB
Peter and his partner already own a Trouvaille Actif, and they’re big fans:
“We have had our Trouvaille Actif for a year now and we quite frankly love it! The only thing missing is a fixed toilet…”
They tried a Carado 5.4m van to see if it ticked that box — but weren’t impressed:
“So did we purchase the Carado van? NO! And why not? Well, the build quality of our Trouvaille Actif is far superior to the supposedly upmarket Carado, with no rattles, superior suspension, excellent powerful engine and overall comfort.”
When it comes to space:
“The space to just relax in after a walk in the hills is far more generous in the Actif. It’s a mini motorhome that requires much less compromise than the average campervan.”
Now, they’re eyeing up the new 5.4m van (aka our MWB) for that loo they’ve been after:
“The obvious answer for us is to look at the new 5.4m van offered by Orange Campers as we can be sure the build quality will be of the highest standard.”
“It’s a mini motorhome that requires much less compromise than the average campervan.”
His words, not ours — and we’re chuffed to bits!

Why so many are upgrading to the MWB
What we’re hearing again and again — from folks like Kev, Judith, and Peter — is that the extra space, clever storage, and loo make a big difference.
It’s no surprise we’re seeing lots of our SWB owners making the move to the MWB. That’s a proper vote of confidence in our little business – and we couldn’t be prouder.
Whether you’re into walking, painting, racing, or just pottering down to a pub car park for a brew with a view — the Trouvaille Classique MWB is ready to take you there in comfort.
