For a long time, customers have felt they had to choose between a High Roof campervan with excellent storage and full standing height, or a pop top campervan that sleeps four.
Our High Roof Trouvaille Classique MWB fitted with the Atek roof system changes that completely. It allows you to keep full standing height and generous storage while adding a proper upper sleeping space, all within the same Medium Wheelbase footprint.
What is the Atek Roof?
The Atek roof is a premium pop top system designed to be fitted to a High Roof Medium Wheelbase campervan. It has been engineered to integrate properly with the base vehicle rather than looking like an add-on.
From the outside, the Atek roof features a distinctive nose cone that enhances the profile of the ‘van and a deep roof section that allows bedding to remain stored in place. The overall look is balanced and purposeful, which is important to us because design matters just as much as practicality.
Under the surface, the Atek roof uses a purpose-made bonded pod system. This means that when you are sleeping upstairs, you are not lying directly on the original metal roof of the vehicle.
You are inside a dedicated structure that has been designed specifically for strength, insulation and comfort. This approach reflects our focus on innovation and quality in every build.

How the Atek Roof transforms the High Roof layout
Traditionally, a High Roof Medium Wheelbase campervan is configured as a two berth. The benefit of that layout is generous internal storage, larger cupboards, a taller wardrobe and full standing height throughout the living space.
With the Atek roof, you retain all of those benefits while adding an upper sleeping area that comfortably accommodates two adults.
The bed space within the Atek roof offers a true six foot plus sleeping length, along with a thick, purpose-made mattress (1.2 x 2 metres) designed for real comfort. There are reading lights positioned on either side and mesh windows to provide ventilation. A scenic opening option allows you to unzip the canvas and enjoy the view when conditions are right, and everything can be closed down securely at night for privacy and darkness.
This makes the Atek roof an excellent solution for families who need four berths but do not want to move to a larger vehicle. It also suits couples who want the flexibility to accommodate grandchildren or guests without giving up the everyday practicality of a High Roof layout.
Storage and space without compromise
One of the strongest advantages of combining the Atek roof with a High Roof base vehicle is that you do not lose the internal storage.
The High Roof Medium Wheelbase offers excellent vertical space, which allows for overhead lockers, a larger wardrobe and well-proportioned kitchen cupboards. Because the sleeping space is created within the Atek roof pod, the main living area remains functional and spacious during the day.
At 5.4 metres in length, the Medium Wheelbase remains manageable to drive while offering noticeably more usable interior space than a Short Wheelbase. Many of our customers who choose this configuration are upgrading from a smaller ‘van or moving from another brand because they're looking for their "forever ‘van".
Another practical advantage is that this High Roof configuration with the Atek roof is available in both manual and automatic transmission. That gives customers more flexibility when choosing their base vehicle, whereas the L2H1 pop top platform is currently manual only.

The Atek roof is RAM-assisted, which means it lifts smoothly and feels controlled with solid securing catches, so when the roof is locked down, it feels secure.
Inside the ‘van, our latest design updates continue to reflect our focus on quality. We use durable furniture boards, carefully considered shelving and practical details that improve day-to-day use. A Midi Heki rooflight positioned above the entrance area ensures that natural light still floods the interior, even with the additional roof structure above.
