We’ve extended the interior options in our Micro Camper. Keep reading for more about this and the incredible features of the small campervan for BIG adventures!
The Micro Camper is a very special Orange Campers conversion built on the Fiat Scudo / Vauxhall Vivaro / Peugeot Expert / Citroen Dispatch on either a nearly new or brand-new base vehicle. It can be any of these ‘vans as they all share the same body, so we can convert any of these.
The ideal starter 'van from just £39,000
The Micro Camper is a brilliant option for those who want to save space (it sits at only 4.96 metres long and 1.93 metres high – including pop-top) – and money!
While this ‘van is one of our more affordable options, it is still packed with value, making it well worth considering alongside our Actif and Classique options.
The Micro Camper can be built either brand new or on a quality, second hand low mileage nearly new 'van. Plus, there are finance options available.

A small, compact and versatile van
One big bonus to our Micro Camper that our happy customers love is it makes a great alternative to a car. In fact, you can swap it out for the family car and use it as your daily vehicle.
As it is a Short-Wheelbased ‘van, it’s a great value option as a ‘starter’ van or for anyone looking to downsize to a Micro Camper with a high-quality build and design.
We build on the Fiat Scudo / Vauxhall Vivaro / Peugeot Expert / Citroen Dispatch (which all share the same base ‘body’) on either a second hand low mileage or brand-new base vehicle.

We chose this body option carefully – a smaller ‘Ultra Compact’ option is available, but we don’t build on it as we don’t feel the bed would be long enough.
We chose this exact size (which is still under 5 metres) as it gives you enough space to be able to get out of bed comfortably in the morning, use the loo while your bed's made, open your fridge door, you can sit in the front seat, etc.!
Whereas with the Ultra Compact option, you lose too much living space inside, in our opinion.
Although it's not the shortest ‘van on the market, it's still ‘Micro’ due to its height of under two metres (1.92 with the roof down).
And this height makes all the difference for driving it as a car, because it will go in any multi-story car park and anywhere there are height barriers.
Even if you don’t currently live in a city where you’re parking all the time, if you hope to travel abroad in the ‘van, this really comes in handy!
It's also very narrow and drives like a car, too, with easy handling.

"Van size is not an issue for us. Our Van is compact but we think of it as the perfect size. It's just big enough, and at the same time, it's just small enough.
We can go to a lot of places in towns and cities that motorhomes can't and we can do narrow single-track roads that motorhomes can't do.
We actually removed the bike rack and travel with our bikes inside the Van. It's a bit of a tight squeeze, but we do it.
We are actually taking the Van to Germany next month for 2 weeks to the Euros football 2024. Along with 100,000 other daft Scots! And we're taking both our sons in the Van!!
Yes, 4 of us. The 2 boys will sleep up top. It will be a tight squeeze, and we will probably all fall out with each other over the 2 weeks, but it will be a laugh too."

Great use of space inside, too!
We think the Micro Camper is very attractive inside too (well, we would say that, wouldn’t we?!), and so far, everyone that’s seen it has said the same.
And it has everything a bigger campervan has – just on a smaller scale and a more space efficient way!
Once you slide the main door open, you will first see the kitchen area, which has a generous size table (which is portable). There’s a good-sized sink, twin gas hobs and a 50-litre fridge.
You’ll also see lots and lots of cupboard space, as always in our ‘vans, and a big wardrobe area. We get asked all the time, “Where can I store my camping chairs?” and we’ve thought about that. There is plenty of room in the bottom of the wardrobe – and you can access it from the back doors too.
Underneath the bed seats, there are two really useful long pull-out drawers. You can get a lot of stuff in there, and you're not rummaging around looking and trying to dig things out from the back of a cupboard.
We've got a portable toilet stored under the sink, and there’s space to use it overnight, even with all the beds fully made.
Lastly, we've got lots of windows in the roof tent. Plus, you can have a diesel heater fitted in the ‘van as well if you wish.

Bed and seating layout
We have a crash-tested double seat at the back, which is a RIB 112cm width bed with two Isofix safety points.
As standard, the ‘van comes with a double front seat, meaning you can travel with five people in total.
We can convert the front passenger seat into a single seat which spins around, to give you even more space.
The rear double seat can be pulled forward, which gives you extra flexibility – for example, passengers can come closer to the front or for some more boot space.
It also flips over (like all good RIB beds do!) to transition it into a bed with a nice firm mattress for a good night's sleep.
You can also sleep kids and/or adults upstairs as well with our double roof bed.

Round the back
If we go round to the back, you'll find a really nice decent-sized boot space. A lot of small ‘vans have a similar seat arrangement at the back, but we have the RIB bed and straps on the back for table storage.
Also in the back, there is the gas locker box and, above that, a huge wardrobe (where you can put a shelf if you wish).
We have blackout curtains installed in all our ‘vans and we also like to use clear factory glass on all our windows.
A lot of companies will put tinted, or privacy glass in, which we feel makes it feel a bit dark and dingy inside. Whereas, we prefer the clear glass, as it makes the ‘van so nice and light inside. For privacy, we have the blackout curtains you can shut!
Safety features and outside options
The ‘van also comes with cruise control, factory alarm and passenger airbags. Lots of vans only have driver airbags, whereas our Micro Camper has them on both sides for passengers as well.
We also have twin sliding doors. Both doors fully open to give you a lot more airflow through your van.
For the kitchen side, you can then access your water tub from that side, or you can even put a table rail on there. You could sit on that side of your van, and you could even put another awning rail on that side and have a canopy on both. So many options!
Our ‘vans have air conditioning and electric folding mirrors (so they automatically fold in when you lock the ‘van).
