In the Wild: Real adventures from the Orange Campers Family 🧡

ree

Ever wondered what life looks like when you finally hit the road in your Orange Camper?

We’ve created a brand-new space on our website called In the Wild – a place for real-life road trip stories, epic destinations, and plenty of campervan inspiration.

Orange Campers are popping up all over the UK and beyond these days. From the Scottish Highlands to the French Alps, it’s becoming more and more common to spot our signature vans in the wild – and we couldn’t be prouder! Our community is growing, and with every new adventure, the Orange family becomes bigger and brighter.

So, what’s In the Wild all about? It’s our way of celebrating you – our amazing customers – and the unforgettable journeys you take in your Trouvaille campervans.

We’ve pulled together a collection of real Orange adventures to give you a taste of what’s possible when the open road is calling. Here are a few of our favourites…

Kev’s epic Highland Road Trip

When Kev and his two mates decided to pack up the Trouvaille Classique MWB Pop Top and head for the Scottish Highlands, they didn’t hold back.

Their spontaneous road trip took them from rugged mountain passes to stunning white-sand beaches – and even island-hopping across the Outer Hebrides.

With the Pop Top giving them loads of flexibility and comfort (plus room for the dog!), Kev and the gang loved the freedom of wild camping and exploring hidden gems far from the crowds.

The van handled every twist and turn with ease, and the adventure summed up everything Orange Campers stands for: freedom, fun, and unforgettable memories.

Judith & Paul – Tour de France superfans

When it comes to cycling adventures, Judith and Paul are in a league of their own.

They started their Orange journey in a SWB and loved it so much that they recently upgraded to a Trouvaille Classique MWB – giving them more room for bikes and all the kit.

They’ve personalised their campervan and even named it Leo, making it the ultimate Tour de France companion.

This Summer they've been chasing the Tour de France, and what a ride it’s been!

From winding Alpine roads to cheering on the world’s best cyclists, their Orange Camper puts them right in the heart of the action.

There’ve been highs (perfect aires with every facility and plenty of wine stops!) and a few challenges too, like a motorbike mishap and toll-road shocks.

But that’s all part of the adventure – and Judith’s loving every minute!

The journey isn’t over yet, so keep an eye out for the full story soon.

Paul & Kathryn – An eight country adventure

When Paul and Kathryn set off in their Orange Camper, they didn’t just plan a weekend getaway – they went big!

Their epic road trip took them across eight countries, soaking up everything from scenic mountain passes to beautiful coastlines.

Life on the road gave them total freedom to explore at their own pace, discovering hidden gems and making memories along the way.

Their campervan was the perfect travel companion – comfy, practical, and ready for anything the journey threw at them.

It’s no surprise this adventure earned them the title of Best Road Trip Story in our first-ever Love Your Campervan Day celebration.

Anne – first to own the MWB High Roof

When we launched our Trouvaille Classique MWB High Roof, Anne didn’t hesitate – she ordered the very first one!

With 25 years of campervanning experience, Anne knew what she wanted: loads of headroom, off-grid comfort, and space for her two big dogs.

And the High Roof ticked every box. Anne’s already clocked up some cracking adventures, including a trip to the NEC, a couple of nights at Kingsbury Water Park, and a stopover in Southport.

Her verdict?

“Trip to the NEC to see what else I could spend my money on. Stayed for a couple of nights at Kingsbury Water Park, then on to Southport. The van is performing perfectly.”

She also told us at our recent Orange Campout: “I love how much space I’ve got in here – loads of storage, loads of headroom. Perfect for me and the dogs.”

Marion – Off-grid escapes in Devon

Marion and her bright yellow Trouvaille Classique MWB Pop Top, affectionately named Douglas, have been making the most of off-grid living on the stunning Devon coast.

She recently enjoyed a wonderful trip to Bigbury-on-Sea and Dartmoor, finding some truly unique places to stay through the Wild With Consent website. This brilliant platform lets you camp on private land with the landowner’s permission, giving you access to exclusive, off-grid spots where you’re guaranteed to be the only camper.

“It’s a bit more pricey,” Marion told us, “but in my view the exclusivity and stunning locations made it worth the extra cost for a treat – £46 per night camping in a gorgeous Dartmoor meadow next to a stream.”

With the Pop Top MWB’s off-grid capabilities, Marion hasn’t needed an electric hook-up once. In fact, she joked: “I’ve taken the hook-up cable out of the locker to make more room for gin! Just kidding 😉”

Sounds like Douglas is the ultimate partner for spontaneous adventures and luxury off-grid escapes!
